Web-BannerAdrian native Shonn Wiley will return to the Croswell Opera House this month for a special one-night performance with fellow Croswell alumni Michael Lackey and Michael Yuen.

“A Night at the Croswell” will feature a mix of Broadway tunes, ’50s pop hits, Motown classics and rock ’n’ roll favorites. The show is at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, with a special pre-show reception at 7 p.m.

“These three performers represent some of the best of what we do here at the Croswell,” said Croswell artistic director Jere Righter. “They’re all local folks who grew up here and got experience at the Croswell, then went on to great careers, and they still want to come and give back to the place where they got their start.”

Wiley has performed on Broadway and in the Chicago cast of the hit musical “Jersey Boys.” He now performs with Under the Streetlamp, a national touring act that’s been featured on two separate PBS specials. His last performance at the Croswell was in 2010.

Lackey performed for six years with the Las Vegas production of “Phantom of the Opera,” and has performed with three other “Phantom” companies — Broadway, San Francisco and the national tour — doing more than 3,500 performances and playing the title role more than 200 times. He’s a veteran of more than 40 productions and has also written several original works with his wife, composer Betsy Lackey.

Yuen has worked professionally for over a decade as a performer, voice teacher, director, choreography and acting coach. He was featured on the fourth season of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and toured nationally in 2001 as part of the cast of “Godspell.” He teaches both privately and at Siena Heights University, and was recently named theater manager at Adrian Public Schools.

“They really are consummate professionals,” Righter said. “You’re not going to find better performers anywhere.”

Tickets for “A Night at the Croswell” are $25 for the show only, and $50 for both the performance and the preshow reception, which will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets may be purchased at the Croswell box office, 129 E. Maumee St., Adrian; by phone at 517-264-7469 (264-SHOW); or online at croswell.org/purchase-tickets.
