Every summer, the Croswell Opera House invites college students to work for the theater. Interns from all over the country spend the summer getting hands-on experience in their respective fields.
Charlie Southward is the Sound Tech intern this summer. Charlie is from Blissfield and studies Audio Production with a focus in Theatre Technology and Electrical Engineering at Michigan Tech. Charlie also plays ukulele and percussion. He even built a marimba with his father and grandfather, both carpenters.
Sarah Norton is from Adrian and studying design production at the University of Michigan with a focus in wigs, hair, and makeup. Sarah started in theatre at the Croswell in high school and is back to work on costumes for our summer shows.
Kelvin Roberson is a returning intern to the Croswell. He is from Hesperia, Michigan, and studied at Michigan Tech. Kelvin is also a certified firefighter. He will be running lights this season.
Jackson Donovan is a painting and tech intern this summer. He studies Fine Art at Siena Heights University. He is originally from Lambertville, Michigan. Jack is looking forward to this season’s shows.
Kailey Osgood-McAuliffe is a returning costuming intern this summer. She came all the way from southern California to work with The Croswell. Kailey makes her own clothes and describes her style as “grunge witch.” She also makes her own Cosplay costumes and plays violin.
Callie Michaud is a Design and Production major specializing in properties and costumes at Oklahoma City University. She traveled from Houston, Texas to gain experience working with props at the Croswell. Callie enjoys going to conventions to show off her Cosplay creations.
Dale White is from Nashville, Michigan, and studies musical theatre and sociology at Adrian College. This summer Dale will be working on building sets. He enjoys playing sports in his free time. Dale has performed on the Croswell stage and is most excited to work on Big Fish.
Natalie Gray of Toledo, Ohio, is the Box Office and Arts Marketing intern this season. She studies Communications at the University of Toledo. Natalie wants to promote art and artists in her community. She likes to organize events and bring people together through art.
