The Croswell is pleased to welcome our 2019 summer intern crew!

The Croswell’s 2019 summer interns, from left to right: Emily Brod, Sierra Gale, Stephanie O’Rear, Abi Walls, Caleb Scott, and AJ Howard.

Emily Brod is the costume intern this summer at the Croswell. Emily is originally from Ann Arbor and is a recent graduate from Reed College in Portland Oregon. After spending last summer working with the Weston Playhouse, she is excited to be back home in Michigan.

Sierra Gale is excited to be the props intern this summer. She is a Theatre and Speech Communication major at Siena Heights University. Sierra is an Adrian native. She has a background in interpreting history and nature. She has many creative passions and outlets including songwriting, performing, and painting.

AJ Howard is thrilled to be the box office/arts management intern this summer! AJ has been seen on the Croswell stage many times in the past 11 years, but is excited to try something new and work in the front-of-house. AJ is an Adrian native, a recent graduate of Adrian High School, and will be attending Western Michigan University in the fall to study musical theatre.

Stephanie O’Rear is a technical intern focusing on carpentry this summer at the Croswell. She is from Houston, Texas but is studying Technical Design and Production, focusing in technical production, at the University of Cincinnati where she just finished her freshman year. This summer she is excited to work in such a historic building and to get to explore Michigan.

Caleb Scott is a technical intern this summer. Caleb is from Gorham, New Hampshire, a small town located in the White Mountains. He is a junior art student at Alfred University in New York, with a focus on theater and journalism. Caleb values being a “jack-of-all-trades” and being able to learn new skills.

Abi Walls is a technical intern this summer, specializing in carpentry and lighting. Abi grew up moving around Colorado, Kansas, and the Bay Area of California, before finally settling back in to Colorado for college. She is a rising junior at Colorado College, where she is a Theatre major with one minor in Performance Design and another in Spanish. She loves the outdoors, writing, and languages. If you’re out and about in downtown Adrian, you might find her working on learning ASL during her lunch hour!
