Despite the necessity of social distancing and limited gatherings, the show must go on! The Croswell Opera House is committed to local art and live performance and will be bringing it to the streets of downtown Adrian.

In the first of a planned “Croswell Out-of-Doors” series, the Croswell will present “Color Downtown” on sidewalks and public spaces throughout downtown Adrian on Friday, June 12th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

The event will feature artists and performers from Lenawee County and surrounding areas, including violinists Ann Hendrikx and Fran Wakefield, circus artist Chloe Whiting Stevenson, vocalist Natasha Ricketts, saxophonist Marty Marks, dancer Ja’Vaughn White, painter Susan Semenick (in collaboration with Adrian Center for the Arts), and more.

In addition, the Croswell will be providing community members with colorful sidewalk chalk to contribute their own art to downtown sidewalks during the event.

The event is free to the public. Social distancing and masks (for those who are able to wear them) will be expected of attendees.

The Croswell intends to present future “Croswell Out-of-Doors” offerings throughout the summer while it is safe to do so. Details of those events will be available at here at croswell.org and on the Croswell’s Facebook page in the coming weeks.
